ALYKANAS

Alykanas is near to the neighbouring
resort of Alykes and with less than 1 km
between the two it is a pleasant and easy
flat walk from one resort to the other. It is
situated 18 km northwest of Zante Town.

Alykanas is surrounded by olive froves
and lush green scenery. It is a quiet re-
sort, with a friendly, relaxing atmosphere
that becomes livelier in the peak season.
If you climb or walk the hills around this
area you will get some absolutely stun-
ning views and beautiful photographs of
the area and bay of Alykes and Alykanas.
Alykanas is very close to Alykes which is a
well known resort with a beautiful long
sandy beach which attracts many visitors
during the summer. If you choose either
Alykanas or Alykes your in for a wonder-
ful holiday with beautiful beaches and
great areas for fishing and snorkelling.
The 16th century monastery of St. John
the Baptist is nearby. Navagio (ship-
wreck) and Skinari with its spa cave and
another blue cave with spectacular sun
reflections with changing colours are
beautiful areas close by worth visiting.
